  • Salila Gyanjot

    Owner and CEO of Northern Light Yoga and Kundalini Yoga School. Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Teacher Trainer, Shakti Dance Teacher, Yoga Therapist.

    Salila Gyanjot is a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga teacher (level 1 and 2), Teacher Trainer and student of Shiv Charan Singh for many years. She teaches with passion and enthusiasm and her classes are characterized by deep understanding, sensitivity and playfulness. She is the founder of the Kundalini Yoga School in Oslo and organizes the Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training together with her husband Anand Raj. Gyanjot specializes in the psychological and medical healing properties of Kundalini Yoga, Shakti Dance, Karam Kriya, yoga for pregnant women and children. Being half Indian and having a background in modern and contemporary dance, Gyanjot was introduced to various forms of yoga, consciousness and movement early in her life. She has taught at several different yoga and fitness centers, companies and health-related businesses, both in Norway and internationally. Her experience is that Kundalini Yoga's wisdom and practice fills a need for many, and enriches the individual in the increasingly intense times we live in. She is passionate about communicating how Kundalini Yoga can contribute to increased quality of life, joy and balance. Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually!

  • AnandRaj / Jakob Schaible

    Owner and CEO of Northern Light Yoga and Northern Light Academy. Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Lead Teacher Trainer, Art & Expression Therapist, Gong teacher.

    AnandRaj is a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga teacher (level 1 and 2), and Lead Teacher Trainer. Together with his partner Salila Gyanjot, he is the founder of Northern Light Yoga and organizes the Teacher Training in Kundalini Yoga.

    AnandRaj teaches with heart and soul. For him, Kundalini Yoga is a yoga of creativity, which you can notice in his concentrated and varied classes. He guides you through kriyas and meditations in a sensitive and precise way that gives them more depth, understanding and flow. As a recognized artist, Art Therapist, Naad Yogi, Gong Teacher and Karam Kriya consultant, he continuously integrates different methods in his Kundalini Yoga teaching.

    AnandRaj is originally from Germany. He started his studies in India already in 2000 and has experience from several different forms of yoga, awareness training and movement disciplines. He has developed a therapeutic approach to yoga and has extensive experience of teaching in different contexts and for different target groups both in Norway and internationally.

    In the early 90s I was a student of the talented Peo & Parvati, where my interest in yoga and meditation started. At this time I also trained kickboxing with Wolfgang Wedde and was later involved in Jiu Jitsu. My practice has helped me become stronger, more flexible and fearless.

    The knowledge of EQ through courses has given me the insight to really see pain as energy, let go and make space so that challenges can flow freely through seeing that the future is my thoughts I hold in the present. In addition to education in Medicine G.F, Nutrition, Reiki master, KunLun energy arb. 1-2-3 and 250 TT education in FlowArts.

    In my classes, I focus on ensuring that the exercises we do facilitate the body's return to its natural balance. The practice involves holistic contact with the mental and the physical.

    It's a dynamic and playful class where we find a meditative flow through breath and movement.

  • Mats Onsum

    Yin Yoga & Vinyasa Yoga Teacher

    In 2011, Mats was introduced to yoga; a form of exercise/science that takes the whole person into account, and after just a couple of classes it became clear that this was something he wanted to explore further. In 2014, he completed his first 200-hour yoga teacher training course. Mats has also completed 50 hours of Yin Yoga, and 200 hours of Yogic Arts, so he has a wide range of knowledge to share.

    As a teacher, he wants to help people explore their own being through yoga. To achieve increased body awareness, presence and contact with one's own breath, thus creating a solid foundation for exploring the body, mind and emotions - and the connection between them.

    I discovered the power of Kundalini Yoga at a point in my life where I felt that there were not enough hours in the day to live the life I wanted. Yoga brought me back to myself and led me in 2014 to take teacher training at Kundalini Yoga School.

    I see that yoga can help many and it is with joy and gratitude that I want to share it with you!

    Ann Christin is a "natural yogi" and her classes are suitable for young and old, experienced and beginners, trained and untrained as well as men and women!

  • Ina Winter Andersen

    Healer, Reiki Master and teacher, Certified Breathwork facilitator, and Kundalini yoga and embodied yin yoga teacher .

    Ina is a natural healing facilitator, working on bridging science and spirituality to experience life from a more connected place, and to access our own innate ability to naturally heal. She holds space, whether you need support on a physical, psychological or spiritual matter. As a complementary treatment for wellness and healing, or as your guide in self-development and transformation and awakening. She also focuses on accessing creativity, intuition, and finding your true voice. Her methods are simple and grounded but her allies are powerful, as she works closely with guides and channels spirit through her heart, hands, and words when holding space.

  • Kristina Manpriya

    Hatha and Kundalini yoga teacher. Therapist.

    Kristina Manpriya has always loved dance and exercise. She discovered yoga in 2011 when she could no longer tolerate hard exercise for health reasons, and through Hatha and Kundalini Yoga she found her way back to balance.

    Kristina is passionate about helping people listen more inwardly, discover their value as who they are and find the courage to be more authentic in their lives. From there, innate gifts can flourish and be used as a contribution to the world, without so much effort. Kristina also works as a one-on-one therapist at Northern Light's premises, using conversation, visualization and therapeutic massage as techniques to help you connect deeper within and reprogram what is limiting you so you can find inner peace and live the life you love. With a background in bioengineering and molecular biology, she is also concerned with the optimal functioning of the body's internal systems through an adequate balance between rest and physical movement and the right kind of nutrition.

  • Kathy Haridev Latham

    Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist, Sat Nam Rasayan practitioner and a trainer of teachers and yoga therapists.

    She teaches with warmth, clarity and joy, holding a subtle and transformative space. Yoga has helped her immensely and she teaches in order to share these benefits with others. She has experience teaching many different kinds of people and takes care to create a welcoming and inclusive yoga space. Her background in Sat Nam Rasayan, the healing modality of Kundalini Yoga, provides sensitivity and precision to her teaching.

    Haridev is originally from New York City, where she taught at Golden Bridge Yoga, and then became a founding teacher at JOY Yoga in London. An IAYT-certified yoga therapist, she is faculty on i-SKY's Yoga Therapy Training. She is also part of the teacher training team at Northern Light. Haridev is an experienced gong player and further qualifications include Prenatal Yoga, YOGA for Youth, and Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga.

  • Maxine Blystad-Collins

    At the age of 9 years old Maxine found a book on Yoga and meditation and became intrigued by this book, knowing that this was very important material. From that day onwards Maxine has been on a journey developing a mission traveling the world searching for and finding re-known Yogis and spiritual leaders/"gurus", studying with them, assisting them and absorbing- hungry to learn their secrets and methods to live a mentally & physically happy & healthy long life. All this knowledge she had access to at a young age gave her the tools and a burning passion to inspire people to understand that each and every one of us have super powers within us that can move through any obstacles and enable us to reach our full potential - it is our choice! In her late 20's, still on her Yogic path, Maxine wanted to broaden her perspective on how we humans can live at our fullest in this modern world so she started discovering and diving deep into various different personal development programs studying with health experts and thought leaders around the globe. Alongside her Asthanga yoga, Kundalini yoga and Yoga for kids/teenager teacher certifications she is a certified Meditation teacher, Silva method instructor, Tantra teacher, NLP practitioner, Mental Trener and Integrative nutritionist and lifestyle coach. Now at age 46 aside from her work in TV & Cinema productions, podcast hosting and dance performance she teaches powerful Kundalini yoga classes and Womens workshops where she combines yoga, breathwork, mantra and meditation with Tantra, dance, self hypnosis and self healing. Her aim is to empower and teach individuals to master their minds & hearts, find their spark of life and to make the right choices in order to maintain their unique capacity of health and vitality.

  • Brinkela

    Brinkela has been practicing since 2014 with a wide range of dedicated experience. She has been studying Ashtanga, Vinyasa, pranayama and Yin yoga. She focuses on technique and alignment and she adapts the practice to each student, so they can progress safely through the Asthanga series. She firmly believes that this practice is for everyone, and that anyone willing to put the work in is able to do it.

  • Maoting Lu

    Maoting prioritizes the harmony of flexible and powerful asanas, emphasizing alignment and mindfulness in her practice. She holds the belief that cultivating mindfulness in the physical body can serve as a gateway to spiritual awakening, fostering a reciprocal relationship that enhances both physical and mental well-being. This, in turn, establishes a positive cycle of harmony between body and mind. Expanding her mindful practices, Maoting has incorporated the art of tea into her repertoire. Through hosting mindful tea ceremonies, she employs tea as a medium to engage the senses of taste and smell. Delving into variables such as temperature, quantity, and mood, she seeks to bring awareness to different facets of life.

  • Massimo Barberi

    Classic Yoga and Yin Yoga

    MASSIMO BARBERI has been practicing yoga since 1991, he has been working as a professional yoga teacher for 25 years (in Italy and in Norway). He studied the Indian philosophies and the Yoga traditions both academically (during his studies at the Superior Institute of Religions Studies in Trento, Italy), and practically, learning the traditional Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga and Tantra Yoga under the teaching of Indian swamis (traditional Shaiva yoga monks) and participating to the Yoga Educators trainings of the institute AMAYE in Sweden and Germany (more than 500 hours). In 2011 he also became a certified Ayurveda therapist with the European Institute of Ayurveda (London) and later a Yin Yoga instructor and a trauma-informed yoga instructor.

    He is recognized and registered as a Yoga-Elder by the International Independent Yoga Network (more than 10.000 hours of teaching).

    He is the author of the books Inside Yoga and Symbiosis and of various albums of yoga-music.ga and Yin Yoga

  • Simon Kriisin

    Vinyasa and Pilates

    Simon brings a unique blend of expertise to our studio. As a contemporary dancer, dance teacher, Osteopath, and pilates/yoga instructor, he possesses a deep understanding of movement, anatomy, and holistic wellness. Currently, Simon is also undertaking a Feldenkrais teacher training to further enrich his practice and become a registered practitioner.

    In our sessions, Simon infuses his teachings with inspiration drawn from his diverse background. You can expect an exploration of physicality, creativity, dynamics, and the body's innate capacity for self-regulation and restoration. Simon believes in providing a space where students of all levels can feel empowered to find their own path within each posture and embark on their personal journey of self-exploration.

    Throughout the class, you'll experience carefully crafted vinyasa sequences designed to both challenge and nurture the body. These sequences serve as a foundation, gradually preparing you for more advanced poses later in the session.

  • Anja Sletteland

    Kundalini - Yin - Pilates - Vinyasa

    Anja teaches creative and memorable classes inspired by different yoga traditions. As a teacher, she is committed to giving students the tools to go deeper into their own practice.

    Anja's classes are focused and goal-oriented. She often takes an energetic or anatomical principle as her starting point, which shapes both the content of the class and the way she teaches. The aim is to give students the space to discover something new each time and develop their own body awareness through asanas, pranayama and varied movement patterns.

    Anja has been practicing yoga for about twenty years and is certified in vinyasa yoga (200H), kundalini yoga (200H) and pranayama (70H). She has also practiced Brazilian jiu-jitsu, pilates and rock climbing, but she is first and foremost a nerd. With over fifteen years of teaching experience from higher education and courses, she is interested in constantly trying out new ways to put theory into practice.
