Haridev: Hi, this is Haridev.

Ann Christin: And I'm Ann Christin.

Haridev: So, Ann Christin, what made you decide to become a Kundalini yoga teacher?

Ann Christin: So this is fun because I never really intended to become a yoga teacher. The reason why I applied and joined the class was because I had a lot of stress, I wasn't sleeping at night and my mind was completely on the go all the time. I was overworked, I had quite young children and a job that was quite intense for me at the time, and a husband who traveled a lot. So I just needed some exercise and I was drawn to it. Why was I attracted to it? I don't know, it just spoke to me a lot, the spiritual aspect as well as the effect it had. So I took the training and just did it for myself. But when I reached the end, and I could see what it was doing to me, and actually people around me also started asking - what were you doing? I decided that it was a treasure that was too valuable to just keep for myself. So I wanted to share, and I became really passionate about it. I started really quite early on after teaching, sharing it in my neighborhood with neighbors and friends and family, and after a while I started teaching here at the studio as well, and I stayed since. That's my anchor.

Haridev: That's beautiful! So, what are some of your favorite practices or favorite Kundalini Yoga practices?

Ann Christin: Actually, it's always back to basic for me. So, the exercises I always come back to are just getting the spine working, like spinal flex, stretch pose to engage the belly button, stretch the legs, but a lot with the spine and the neck and just feeling the energy flowing through the body. That's actually my challenge, flowing in the neck, I can get stiff in the neck and in the shoulders. But I always come back to this and it makes me come back again. Because when it's stuck it's like you lose yourself a little bit. When you get it to flow, it's a relief!

Haridev: I know what you mean! Thank you very much Ann Christin

Ann Christin: Thank you so much!
